Rich 8 Term Republican Congressman Takes Millions in Bribes

The NY Times tells us of a rich guy who didn't have enough, so he arranged for some bribes:
"Rep. Randy ''Duke'' Cunningham pleaded guilty Monday to conspiracy and tax charges, admitting taking $2.4 million in bribes in a case that grew from an investigation into the sale of his home to a wide-ranging conspiracy involving payments in cash, vacations and antiques."

We've been saying it, but they don't listen. Rich people - give away your money. It leads to no good. Give it to people who need it - like all the people you are screwing.

No, they say. We must have more! Duke's $2.4 million in bribes were paid to him "by several conspirators through a variety of methods, including checks totaling over $1 million, cash, rugs, antiques, furniture, yacht club fees and vacations."

Last night, on 60 Minutes, they did a feature on people building 15,000 square foot homes who were complaining that their kitchens still weren't big enough. "Our floor is an exact copy of that French house.." they muttered. They had to be reminded that the "French house" was the Palace of Versailles.

The money is making these people into pathetic souls. It is their weakness. Like crack addicts, they have to have more money - at any cost.

Like a Congressman's career.
